Half a century has now passed since, in June 1973, a group of 5 persons took the decision to incorporate LACUNZA, for the manufacture of wood-burning stoves. From that time onwards, the company has gone from strength to strength, both with regard to its variety of products and range of models, materials and energy sources, and to the incorporation of quality, innovation and design in its own products.
LACUNZA is a company based in the valley of Sakana (Navarra). A place where it was born and where it grew, with the company's greatest wealth being its team of employees, who are all committed to a sound business project that is socially, economically and environmentally responsible and brings wealth to the community. This business project is supported by 50 years of work and a positive track record that has been sustained over time. In the words of José Julián Garciandía, the company's Managing Director, after operating for half a century, the balance is really positive and “the very fact that the company is celebrating its 50th anniversary says it all”.
The company currently designs, manufactures and markets, wood-burning stoves, range cookers and fireplaces, thanks to a team of engineers specialising in R&D&I and to the two production plants located in the towns of Alsasua and Lacunza in Navarra. A further highlight is that the design is completed at the company's in-house test laboratory, which is perfectly equipped.
Lacunza has an extensive network of distributors in Spain and also exports to some thirty countries around the world, thanks to its commitment to the quality and design of its products.
In this way, in the course of its history, Lacunza has progressively shaped its own business personality based on sustainability and the environment, innovation, technology and design and on customer orientation. Thanks to this, Lacunza has become a leading company in the biomass heating sector and a benchmark brand in Europe.
During this time, the company's products have become an integral part of the homes of a number of generations and, today, they are recognised for their durability, quality and design, having been incorporated into the daily lives of many families.
CELEBRATORY ACTIONS
LACUNZA will celebrate its half-a-century anniversary by thanking the company's employees for all their work. What is more, there will be an open-door event for employees, institutions and customers at which a number of celebrations will be organised. A commemorative sign has also been put up on the façade of Lacunza and a special slogan has been prepared for this year, which will be put on the façade of the plant in Alsasua and will also be present in its social media and in all the channels in which it is present. There are also plans to either launch a commemorative video or publish a landing page with the company's historical milestones, among others.
With the slogan "Part of your home, part of your life, part of your history...part of you", LACUNZA is sending out a reminder that it is more than just a company, it is part of history, part of life and part of each home in which its products are used. The very act of lighting one of its wood-burning range cookers, fireplaces or stoves conveys the dedication and effort made by Lacunza in its endeavour to offer innovative, sustainable and high-quality solutions that make a home warm and welcoming, while also being environmentally friendly.
